9 months old

Brandon had his 9 month checkup today. He weighed 16 lbs 11 oz and was 28 inches long. He is gaining weight but still a small guy. He is much different from Camryn at this age. She had quite a bit of stranger anxiety and cried through most of her appoinments. Brandon loves everyone and only let out a small peep when he got his shots. Here he is before he started eating the paper on the table at the doctors office.

Uncle Herm and Aunt Sharon's 50th Anniversary

We traveled up to North Phoenix for Derek's uncle and aunt's 50th wedding anniversary. I planned on taking pictures but I got too busy with the kids and I didn't take any except these couple before we left. The trip went really well. The party started at 6:00 and we thought we were going to be in rush hour traffic so we left over an hour early. Camryn was happy watching Dora on her dvd player the whole way and Brandon just enjoyed watching his sister. There was hardly any traffic and we got there in about an hour. We had a great time seeing all of the cousins. Camryn really enjoyed playing with her cousins for the first time. Wish we got to see them more often.

Gymnastics with Chloe and Connor

Uncle Ronnie's kids Chloe and Connor came to visit from Missouri. My sister Michelle normally takes Camryn to gymnastics and she thought it would be fun to take all the kids together. Camryn was really excited for them to come. We waited outside in the heat until they got here. Chloe and Connor were also excited to see Camryn and Brandon. Brandon was full of smiles for his cousins. Camryn was excited to have a leotard on just like Chloe.

Crawling at the Park

So much for the little kids wanting to be like the big kids. Brandon has been crawling around at the park and the big girls Camryn and Brooke decided they wanted to crawl like him.

Carousel Ride

Now that it is getting hot outside we are always looking for things to do. We decided to go shopping at the mall and let the kids ride the carousel. Camryn loved being able to give the token to the lady working there. Brandon even got in on the action. He loved it. Smiley as usual.

Swim Lessons

Camryn had her first swim lesson last week. She did pretty good as long as the teacher didn't touch her. She is excited to learn to swim and is becoming a lot more confident in the water. She learned to blow bubbles in the water, kick her legs, and use her arms. She even went all the way under on her own a couple of times.

Water Painting

Camryn loved her first time water painting. She could have painted all day. It is nice to have a new activity for her to do. I wouldn't call her an artist just yet, but she sure loves it. The best part is that she didn't make much of a mess.
